In the Beggining it was not so - Part 1

REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE Jesus the Christ said: “ Remember Lot’s wife” Luke 17:32 Why did he say that? What is to be remembered about the women, who disobeyed the express command to not look back but flee to the mountains? The wife whose heart was filled with idolatry and the love of this world who turned into a statute of salt? The preceding verses may shad some light on the subject. “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.” Luke 17:27-31 The marriage institution is not a church tradition, or if it has become such, it is a rather new tradition. The marriage institution goes back several millennial even before the law of God – the 10 commandments were given to Israel at Mount Sinai. The fifth commandment says: “Honor your Father and Mother…” Exodus 20:12 It does not read: Honor your parents ( your Fathers or your Mothers – No Gay or lesbians marriages here) In fact it goes back another 2,000 years to Creation time, when God the Creator of all living things ordained, instituted and executed the first marriage ceremony between Adam – a man and Eve – a woman. He told them to be fruitful and multiply! Homosexuals can’t even do that much, for they can not reproduce! And even if they could reproduce themselves in a laboratory some how, what would be the result of it? Would it be a normal human being? Would the parents love, train and discipline them as much as heterosexual parents do? I don’t think so. Man kind is composed of male and female. They are not just different physiologically; they are different emotionally and mentally as well. They are meant to complement each other, to blend as they become one. One flesh, one in purpose, and to work united in solving the challenges of life! The most important duty of a family is to raise children who will be morally stable, law abiding citizens. These children when they become adults, will go out, find a mate and marry, to reproduce themselves – “be fruitful and multiply”. While living in Northern California many years ago, I plainly told a gay fellow worker that he could and should, like any other man marry and have children of his own. The real issue here, The issue at stake is, upholding the moral values instituted by a superior being – the Creator of mankind, who created male and female in his own image! They did not evolve from a mollusk or some inferior form of life. They were created in the image of the Divine! Not only that. Men and women are rational beings who will be brought to a judgment by the Creator some day. To render an account of their moral values and what they have become as a result! The immorality we see in the West – Western European countries, North America and some other affluent parts of the world, has to do with a condition like before the worldwide flood and like in the Valley of Sidim – Sodoma & Gomorra in Bible times. A sinful, immoral and degraded state of living, coming from: a life of ease, plenty and an abundance of leisure time. Well did the Apostle Paul stated in his epistle to the Romans: “ “http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-kentucky-same-sex-marriage-20140212,0,6005147.story#axzz2tVTiqa3A http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/02/12/1277045/-Federal-judge-Kentucky-must-recognize-out-of-state-gay-marriages http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/virginia-politics/virginia-attorney-general-proud-after-gay-marriage-decision/2014/02/14/1d1638b4-957e-11e3-8461-8a24c7bf0653_story.html Why remember Lot’s wife? Many are putting to risk the morals, godliness and even eternal life of their family for the sake of material gain and prosperity! ““The marriage of Lot, and his choice of Sodom for a home, were the first links in a chain of events fraught with evil to the world for many generations.” We are told to “remember Lot’s wife.” {PH140 42.2} “Cities and even country towns are becoming like Sodom and Gomorrah, and like the world in the days of Noah. The training of the youth in those days was after the same order as the children are being educated and trained in this age.”—Special Testimonies on Education, 93. {PH140 42.3} “Those who will take their families into the country, place them where they have fewer temptations.”—Special Testimonies on Education, 104. {PH140 42.4} “Fathers and Mothers who possess a piece of land and a comfortable home are kings and queens.”—Special Testimonies on Education, 105.{PH140 43.1} Locate your school in the country “Let the students be out in the most healthful location that can be secured, to do the very work that should have been done years ago. Then there would not be such great discouragements. Had this been done, you would have had some grumbling from students, and many objections would have been raised by parents, but this all-around education would prepare children and youth not only for practical work in various trades, but would fit them for the Lord’s farm in the earth made new. If all in America had encouraged the work in agricultural lines that principals and teachers have discouraged, the schools would have had altogether a different showing. There is room within earth’s vast boundaries for schools to be located where ground can be cleared, land cultivated, and where a proper education can be given. This work is essential for an all-round education, and one which is favorable to spiritual advancement. Nature’s voice is the voice of Jesus Christ, teaching us innumerable lessons of perseverance. The mountains and the hills are changing, the earth is waxing old like a garment, but the blessing of God, which spreads a table for his people in the wilderness, will never cease.”—P.C. September 24, 1898. {PH140 43.2} “No pains should be spared to select places for our schools where the moral atmosphere will be as healthful as possible, for the influences that prevail will leave a deep impress on young and forming characters. For this reason a retired locality is best. The great cities, the centers of business and learning, may seem to present some advantages, but these advantages are outweighed by other considerations.”—Special Testimonies on Education, 43. {PH140 43.3} “If people would encourage the church in which they are members to establish small, humble school buildings in which to do service for God, they would accommodate their own children within their borders.”—P.C. February 2, 1895. {PH140 44.1} “Teachers should be employed to educate the children of Sabbath-keepers. This would close the door to a large number who are drifting into the Battle Creek, the very place of God has warned them not to go.”—P.C. December 15, 1897. {PH140 44.2}
